Back in 2017, the renovation industry had a reputation problem. Contractors disappeared mid-project. Quotes doubled halfway through. Homeowners felt trapped between “cheap and unreliable” or “expensive and arrogant.”
Our founder asked a simple question: “What if we built a company that treated renovation like we were doing it for our own family?” That single idea shaped everything that followed — how we hire, build, and deliver.
The name Mankind isn’t random. In Mandarin, mankind translates to 人类 (rén lèi) — humanity, people. We chose it as a daily reminder that every project is about the people living in the space, not just the space itself.
That’s why we built our own factory instead of relying on unreliable subcontractors, offer fixed pricing from day one, and grew a 100+ full-time team dedicated to every project.
